Privacy Policy

Version 1.0 — August 11, 2026. This policy covers waselchat.com, the marketing website. It does not cover Customer Instances of the WaselChat service: there, our customer is the data controller and we process student data on the customer’s behalf under our Data Processing Addendum (/legal/dpa).

What this website collects

  • Demo and contact requests. If you submit the demo form, we receive the details you enter: name, work email, company, and your message. We use them to respond to you and to prepare the demo you asked for. Legal basis: taking steps at your request prior to a contract.
  • Server logs. Our hosting providers keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for security and reliability.
  • Nothing else. This website sets no cookies and runs no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.

How long we keep it

Demo-request details are kept while we correspond with you and for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted. Hosting logs are retained per the providers’ standard short retention periods.

Who we share it with

Form submissions are delivered to our mailbox via a form-delivery provider and hosted email; the website is served by our hosting and DNS providers. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Write to privacy@waselchat.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Children

This marketing website is directed at businesses and is not intended for children. Student data inside the WaselChat service is governed by our customers’ own privacy policies and our DPA, not by this page.

Changes

Updates appear on this page with a new version number and date.
